Rest you do not have to earn
Waiting until everything is finished can leave rest permanently last. Responsibilities still matter, but you can examine how they are arranged and whether any moment is free from doing another task. Start by separating what truly needs finishing today from what merely feels urgent.

Separate rest from a reward
Notice the sentence “I can sit down only when…” and write its ending. Does it require finishing something with no clear endpoint? Instead, choose a specific time for a short break. You need not transform your relationship with rest in one day; recognising one rule that no longer fits is enough.
Make arrangements with others
When household or family duties are shared, positive thinking alone does not create a break. Ask someone to take a specific task or agree to take turns. “I need twenty minutes; could you handle this then?” is clearer than expecting others to notice tiredness. Consider their circumstances too.
Do not make the break another project
Rest does not require educational audio, improved breathing or progress tracking. Choose something simple that suits you. If guilt appears, avoid adding criticism for feeling it. Notice it and return to the small arrangement you made for today.
A topic for personal conversation
Individual work with Vedrana can explore recognising your needs and making small choices. You do not need an explanation for everything beforehand. “I find it difficult to make time for myself and would like to talk about it” is a sufficient starting point.
